Dr. Aimee Gough grew up in Emigrant, Montana. She graduated from Harvard University in 2007 with a degree in chemistry. Next, she attended the University of Washington School of Medicine and graduated in 2012. Her general surgery residency was completed at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in 2017. During her residency she presented her research at national meetings and published the results of her award-winning randomized controlled trial in JAMA Surgery. She then completed a Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California where she co-authored book chapters addressing advances in surgical techniques and spoke at an international colorectal cancer conference.
Dr. Gough’s areas of special interest include colon and rectal cancer, ERAS (enhanced recovery afters surgery) protocols, inflammatory bowel disease, and pelvic floor disorders. She is pleased to bring this specialty surgical care to the region. She is excited to be living in the great state of Wyoming, and in her free time she enjoys hiking, exploring, and spending time with her family. Dr. Gough joined our group in 2018.
