Hernia Repair: A Patient Story

A recent patient of Dr. Morrison came to Wyoming Surgical Associates for a hernia repair. The patient, Myrna, presented with a unique case, having experienced a new hernia on top of a previous hernia repair performed out of state 10 years ago. After moving to Casper in 2024, Myrna’s imaging center referred her to Wyoming Surgical Associates after discovering the hernia.

Myrna first experienced a hernia a decade ago after a traumatic fall caused the injury. That hernia was repaired, yet after a new one appeared in the same location years later, nobody from her previous, out-of-state care team would perform the required surgery. In 2025, Dr. Morrison provided Myrna’s care, performing non-invasive procedures to repair the hernia. Dr. Morrison removed the mesh from the first hernia and repaired the new one.
